Kate Rhodes

Kate Rhodes was born in London in 1964. She now lives in Cambridge and works as a freelance creative writing teacher. She has completed a PhD on the work of American dramatist Tennessee Williams. Kate’s first collection, Reversal , was published in 2005. Her second collection, The Alice Trap , was published in 2008. Kate’s poems have been published widely in newspapers and magazines, including the Guardian, the Independent, Poetry Review, The North and The Rialto. Kate’s poems have won prizes in numerous competitions including Bridport, City of Derby and Challenging Poverty. Her poem ‘Wells-next-the-Sea’ was shortlisted for the 2008 Forward Single Poem Prize.
