Please send (by the deadline, if applicable)
-an article proposal / outline, to give us a good idea of what you plan to write on (200 words).
-the first paragraph of your article (draft, 200 words)
If we decide to publish the article, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Call for open submissions (these articles could feed into any future publication)
We are looking for article proposals on the following themes:
- Adaptations – literature into film
- Author interviews
- Writing for Children
- Writing for Competitions
- Aspects of Genre writing - for example crime, horror, sci-fi, romance
- Literary Prizes
- Getting published / the book trade / e-books
Please email your proposals to Leaf Editor Kevin Davies email@example.com, with the article proposal theme in the subject line.
Please note: Whilst the magazine is in its infancy and our funding is minimal we are not in the position to pay out to our very much valued contributors for their work. However we are more than happy to offer free full page ads if, as a contributor, you have something you would like to publicise. And certainly a free subscription to the magazine. We are constantly in the process of looking for more funding and as we grow we really hope to be able to pay our authors and other folk who help us.
HOW TO SUBMIT OTHER WRITING TO THE LEAF WRITERS’ MAGAZINE
All other material for our magazine will be sourced via our creative competitions (we are completely self funded and thus completely independant). At any one time we have a range of competitions open – Write about Writing, poetry, themed writing competitions, short fiction, drawing – and we hope you find something that you like.
